About us
The Swedish Association in Auckland started in 1989. We are a small but active society for Swedes and friends in and around Auckland.
We meet 4-5 times a year at major events to celebrate Lucia, Midsummer, National Day etc, but also every now and then for example to go and see Swedish films or concerts.
Membership
Would you like to be a member?
Fill in this form to become a member for 2025/26! The Association’s financial year runs from 1 April to 31 March, and the prices/benefits are as follows:
- Member – $35
- Family member – $60
- Mini family member – $40
- Support member – $20
We also have Lifetime members, where they receive free entrance to our activities. However this is only obtained by voting at an AGM.
Your email address will be added to the Association’s Google Group so that you can receive information via email from the Association. We recommend that you also join our Facebook group to stay in touch with your fellow members!
Committee
If you want to get in touch with us in the Committee, you can do so easily by sending an email to info@svenskaforeningen.org.nz. We don’t have an office and we are all volunteering in our spare time.
We would love to hear from you if you have any comments, ideas and suggestions for events or if you want to help at the next party!
At our Annual General Meeting (AGM) in May the following Committee members for 2024/25 were elected:
